Rachel Griffiths is an Australian actress who portrayed Brenda Chenowith on Six Feet Under.
Biography[]
She began her acting career in the Australian drama series Secrets before coming to international recognition in a supporting role in the comedy film Muriel's Wedding.
In 2001, she came to further prominence with her role as Brenda Chenowith in Six Feet Under, gaining a Best Actress award at the Golden Globes in 2002.
Further acting roles include the ABC drama series Brothers & Sisters, the films Blow and Ned Kelly as well as the film Hacksaw Ridge.

- Alan Ball was initially reluctant to cast her due to her Australian accent but she got the role when she arrived for the audition complete with a perfect American accent. Her chemistry with Peter Krause also impressed everyone.
